About weapon and armor's wielding requirement

    So with Skiy's general "Let people do it just give them negatives" all I'm seeing is "I want the Dev's to put in more work so people can be fucking idiots and try to run dumb shit".
    I get that you want to give people flexibility, flexibility is good. I get that you want to punish people for doing dumb shit, again also good. But you're going about it the wrong way. There's plenty of other areas/ways to do these things, and having a binary "you can/can't wear that" because of your stats is much nicer. It also shows players what they should be investing in and by extension teaching them to be a better player with a more optimised build. Having a system where you are allowed to do something and get punished for it isn't always the best solution (is some cases yes, but not this one). The players that want to be dumbasses and still ignore game balance can still waste their stat points and gimp themselves, but there's a bunch of nets to try and catch them before they do this.
